This is one of my favorite quotes on the craft. I first read it in one of the ads for my MFA program around the time I received my acceptance letter. It captures the dual nature of art, the beauty and the pain of doing what we do.
Sometimes beauty is pain. Beauty is work. And it must be fought for.
