I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Fourth of July. I celebrated my Independence Day with some good friends at the Hollywood Bowl watching the LA Philharmonic, Barry Manilow (that’s right: Barry Manilow), and a spectacular fireworks display.

This meant I wasn’t home to monitor how well THE LOOKOUT AND OTHER STORIES was faring on the Kindle bestseller charts. The numbers change hourly, and currently, its US standings have dropped to #50 in literary fiction and #87 in short stories. In the UK, the numbers are #37 in literary and #47 in stories. So let’s get those numbers back up, shall we?

Today, July 5, 2012, is the last day THE LOOKOUT is free on Amazon Kindle. It’s also available in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy. Please tell your friends. Tomorrow, the price will return to its regular $0.99, which is still a great deal for five short stories.

Thank you, everyone, for your support during this promotion, and welcome to all my new readers.

UPDATE: The free promotion is over, but you can read the recap.
